Updating

I now have the chance to be updating animated zombies. So expect there to be different ideas and updated styles. I will also be posting some more inspiration links.

Everything Finished

My animation is now finished and handed in and I have received the mark for the whole animation course which works out as a 2:2, which is what I was expecting. I am happy with what I have achieved and am now looking forward to the next challenge.

Animated Zombies - The Final Hurdle

I am coming up to the hand in for Animated Zombies and I have to say I am proud of what I have achieved. I have created a piece of work that I can honestly say I have spent the time and effort on it that it deserves so that I have created something that is not just another animation but something a little more special.

Where I am at.

So I have been working hard on my graduation animation. Before I only had six shorts of around 30 seconds long now they are all interconnected meaning that they can still shine as an animation on their own or they can shine as six together one after the other. Which creates I believe a more enjoyable experience. A 30 second clip is alright as an advert or ident but for something to show off more creativity and experience then a longer piece is required and this is what I have achieved with the connectivity.

 I am waiting for feedback on what I have currently done with regards to the actual animation and whether there is still anything that may need to be changed with regards to this. However at the moment I am working on the editing of the piece and getting the sound and the music for it just right. It is getting there but there is still a lot of work left to do with it. So we will see.

Easter is upon me so I am having a little break but as mentioned above I will still be working on the editing of 'Animated Zombies', but mostly doing research in the way of locating sounds that can be used to enhance the animation.

News

I have created a rough cut of the animation. The music and sound is still a bit off as well as some of the timings and movement. But taking notice of this as well as feedback received I have a great long list of things to do to greatly improve the animation. The list just needs tidying up at the moment.

Production

I have now started the principal production work for the Animated Zombies series. I have good news to depart in the sense that I am working well ahead of schedule. This means that I will now that time once the animating is finished to go through the work and to correct anything that might be wrong or to adapt the timings. I will also be able to use AfterEffects to add some rather special effects to the animation. I now believe that I will not only create an animation that I am happy with, but an animation that I can truly be proud of.

The series is remaining basically the same as how I originally intended, however the ending of each clip will now be slightly different.

Once the principal animation work is done I will be able to create a couple of trailers that you will be able to enjoy.
